End of Term 3
The reading race and numeracy challenge finishes for this term on Tuesday 24th. Remember that Wednesday 25th is our end of term auction so have a hunt for unwanted toys, books, games or maybe bake some biscuits or a cake!!

Mystery Reader!!
Today we had a lovely surprise after we got back from swimming. Patrick's granny Julie arrived all the way from Rotorua to read to us! She chose one of our favourite authors, Roald Dahl, with a story called The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. It's quite long so she kindly left it behind for us to finish, and in the holidays Patrick will take it back for us. Julie said that she reads stories to Patrick over the phone!! How cool is that Patrick!!! Thanks Julie.

Mystery Guest
Hi everyone!
Last Friday we had a lovely surprise when Millie's dad Darren came in and told us all about his work as a pilot. He showed us a video of all the exciting places he goes to in Papua New Guinea. It was very interesting to compare our lives here in New Zealand to life in a small village over there.
Thanks Darren! I think there were quite a few people who decided that they might like to be a pilot and have exciting adventures like you do, when they grow up!

Week 1
Hi Everyone
What a great start to term 1! It was so nice to meet you all and I can see we are all going to have lots of fun and do lots of learning this year! Well done to everyone who arrived on Day 1 with all their books and writing things all ready to go!!!
Remember to get your Clearfile (red Learning Portfolio) and your green Home Reading book as soon as you can too!!
Thomas is back from his holidays too and wasn't he happy to see all his new friends in Room 18.
